Request a free test translation.

For larger or ongoing projects, we translate a representative excerpt in advance — free of charge. That lets you check style, terminology and quality before you commission the full project.

Short & clear

Check first, then commission.

A test translation takes the risk out of your first commission. Especially for larger or recurring assignments, a representative excerpt shows how we handle subject terminology, pick up your style and hold to correct spelling — before you commit.

The sample is free of charge and non-binding. It suits larger volumes and ongoing collaboration; we agree the scope and excerpt with you briefly beforehand. For a single standard document, we instead name a binding fixed price directly.

How it works

Three steps to your sample.

1 · Request

  • Send the document or excerpt
  • Name the language direction
  • Field & context

2 · Receive the sample

  • a representative excerpt
  • by a subject-matter translator
  • checked for terminology

3 · Decide

  • check style & quality
  • fixed price for the whole
  • terminology recorded

Suited for

  • larger volumes
  • ongoing collaboration
  • B2B & framework agreements

Good to know

What the sample shows — and what it does not.

The test translation is a quality and fit test, not a substitute for the final assignment, which is checked under the four-eyes principle. It shows terminology, tone and subject understanding. The size of the sample depends on project size; very small assignments we instead calculate directly as a fixed price.

We treat sample texts confidentially under GDPR as a matter of course, on request with a confidentiality agreement (NDA). For certified versions, the regular process via certified translation then applies.

Quick questions

Three things people ask before requesting a sample.

Is the sample really free?

Yes. The representative excerpt is non-binding and free of charge — only the full commission is then calculated, at a binding fixed price.

How big is the excerpt?

It depends on project size — usually a few sentences to half a page. That is enough to judge terminology, tone and subject understanding.

Who translates the sample?

A subject-matter translator from the relevant field. The final version, checked under the four-eyes principle, is confirmed where needed by a court-authorised translator.
