The decisive question

Do I need a certified German translation?

In short: for authorities, courts and universities in the DACH region you almost always need a certified translation by sworn, court-authorised translators; for internal and business use, translations without certification by specialist translators are enough. When in doubt we check it for you before the order.

DocumentTypical purposeCertified needed?Go to page
Birth, marriage, divorce certificateRegistry office, family reunionYescertified
Diploma, academic certificateRecognition / applicationOfficial: yes · internal: noCertificates

Never pay for a certification nobody asked for – we point it out proactively. In Germany, the Jobcenter or BAMF often cover the translation cost for official procedures – ask before you order.

Price and deadline up front, binding, no per-line surcharge.

3 · Translation

Sworn specialist for your field, four-eyes principle, certified where required.

4 · Delivery

Quality you can see

One document, one sworn specialist, one fixed price.

A lawyer translates your contract, a doctor the medical report, an engineer the manual – reviewed under the four-eyes principle to DIN EN ISO 17100, at no surcharge. You do not get a text fragment back: tables, stamps, form fields and layout are carried over. We process PDF, Word, Excel, scans and photos directly.

Your files stay confidential and GDPR-compliant – encrypted transfer, access only for those involved, on request with an NDA at no surcharge. German ⇄ English, translated into the target language by native specialists. Certification by a sworn, court-authorised translator follows where an authority requires it.

For companies

Documents at volume, one contact, falling costs.

If you have documents translated regularly, you should not renegotiate every time. A framework agreement secures fixed terms, a dedicated contact and staggered volume discounts. Translation-memory reuse further reduces repetitions – at identical, reviewed quality. What a document translation costs is shown in the price overview.
